Where To Find Makers-On-Hudson This Weekend

We're holding our breath here in the Hudson Valley, but we think Spring has finally arrived. Lilacs and dogwoods are just about to bloom, and our makers will be venturing out to several events this weekend.

Kathryn, from Huzzah! Unique Handmade Wearables will be at the Chancellor's Sheep and Wool Showcase at the Cleremont Historic Estate this Saturday (please note, rain date is Sunday 4/24. Check the website if you are in doubt.) You'll enjoy this wonderful event, with lots of activities and many talented artists selling their locally handmade items.

Also, on Saturday, cross the Hudson and you'll find two of our makers attending the Mama Makers Market. on Main Street, High Falls, N.Y. Hester, of HestersStudio and Sarah from SOHandmade will be there, so stop by and say hello. High Falls is such a quaint little town, and a fun place to visit.

Back in Dutchess County, at Dutchess Handmade, Paul from  Kmiotek Art Works will be participating in a pop-up shop starting April 21. The shop will be open until May 12, so you'll have many opportunities to browse the selection of work  throughout the Spring.

In the small town of Red Hook, just a few miles from Rhinebeck a holiday pop up shop has opened its doors to customers. Featuring wonderful handmade items from 7 of the Makers on Hudson team this is a one stop shop for any discerning customer.

Situated in the Red Hook Community Arts Network or RHCAN gallery space in the heart of Red Hook artists and designers have collaborated to  bring you a wonderful diverse selection of pottery, jewelry, apparel, holiday decorations and more.

Gifted Hudson Valley is the brain child or Amber Haqu of Amberhlynn. She wanted to create a space for local artisans to share their incredible creations. She is manning the space and is looking forward to welcoming you, as she says:

 For some, this weekend marks the "unofficial" end to summer, although technically, we are still enjoying summer's slow fade. We begin to anticipate cooler days and brilliant colors. Harvest Festivals begin to abound. On Sunday from 11-4, you'll find Kathryn, of HuzzahHandmade at the Rosehaven Alpaca Festival at Bethel Woods with her hand knits and felted accessories, many of which feature luscious Alpaca Fiber. The Harvest Festival at Bethel Woods features a farmer's market, two handcrafts tents, music and food. One entire tent is devoted to Alpaca products, live animals, and demonstrations, so make it a destination and have a great day.

Where To Find the Hudson Valley Etsy Team This Weekend

We've got an exciting weekend prepared for you with some wonderful markets in Philadelphia, the Berkshires and of course the Hudson Valley. It sounds like it should be a gorgeous Fall weekend so go out and enjoy!

Elena Rosenberg will be at the PA Guild of Craftsmen Fine Craft Fair with her knitted wares including scarves, hats, arm warmers, crocheted jewelry and more. The fair takes places this Friday-Sunday, October 10-12 at Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, PA. Hours are 11AM-6PM Friday and Saturday, and 11AM-5PM Sunday.

Where To Find The Hudson Valley Etsy Team This Weekend

It's gonna be a busy weekend for the Hudson Valley Etsy Team! We have four members participating in events, one will even be pulling double-duty!

The first event, this Saturday, September 20, is the Puptoberfest is Succasunna, New Jersey. It's a little farther away than the Hudson Valley but this weekend looks liek the perfect time for a little trip into beautiful Northwestern New Jersey. There will be all kinds of doggie fun and it's all a benefit for the Eleventh Hour dog rescue, how could you go wrong, and don't forget our awesome Stone and Fiber and Lollypups will be there selling their creations.
